Tremron Fence Installation: The Fresno Owner’s Guide

Tremron fence installation in Fresno typically runs $3,500 – $9,000 for a complete run, including materials, labor, and the concrete footings our hardpan soil and summer heat require. We stock Tremron-compatible fence line components and install them Monday through Saturday, with most straight-run replacements finished in a day or two depending on footage and access.

Most owners discover their fence has failed the hard way: a section leans after a winter storm, or a gate post has gone soft at the base and now drags across the pavers. Sometimes it’s quieter than that. A hairline crack runs down the face of a post and nobody notices until the first good rain gets in and works it wider through a Fresno freeze-thaw cycle. Tremron makes a solid concrete fence product, but any concrete fence in the Central Valley lives in unforgiving conditions: 100-degree summers, alkaline soil, and an irrigation system that weeps against the post bases year after year. The fence can handle all of it until one footing gives way and the geometry of the whole line starts fighting itself.

Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron pours their fence line in several profiles, and the installation method changes depending on which one you have. The most common around Fresno backyards are the Tremron Estate Fence and Tremron Mayfair Fence, both mortarless, dry-stack concrete systems that rely on vertical steel rebar pins and a poured concrete bond beam to keep the panel sections locked. You’ll also see older Tremron privacy slats and column caps that have long since been discontinued, which matters if you need a match rather than a full replacement.

Here’s the compatibility gotcha: Tremron fence panels are cast in 6-inch and 8-inch heights for the horizontal sections, but the post pockets between those two castings are different. If you have an older 6-inch-tall panel stack and you try to swap in a newer 8-inch Tremron panel, it will not seat in the notch correctly and you’ll end up with a wobbly line that grinds its own corners off in the wind. We measure every post pocket and panel tongue on site before we order a single piece, because guessing here turns a clean replacement into a masonry correction job.

Elmstead Remodeling Fresno is an independent contractor and not affiliated with Tremron. We work with their components regularly, and we also stock installation hardware for KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and similar named-brand materials across our remodeling work, so measuring and matching manufacturer-specific sizing is a skill we practice daily.

Signs Your Tremron Fence Installation Is Failing

  • Post lean beyond 5 degrees. A Tremron post that is visibly off-plumb is almost always a footing problem, not a post problem. In Fresno’s expansive clay soil, water migrates under the footing, the soil swells, and the entire post assembly tips as a unit.
  • Gap opening between panels and posts. The panel tongue is slipping out of the post pocket. This usually means the bond beam inside the post has cracked or the rebar pin has sheared, and every wind storm makes the gap wider.
  • Horizontal cracking at the base of a post. Concrete absorbs water at the bottom face where irrigation spray hits. Through a Central Valley summer the top of the post dries fast while the base stays damp, and the differential stress cracks the post right at grade.
  • Gate dragging or latch misalignment. The gate post has shifted, not the gate. A Tremron fence gate is heavy, and when the post moves even an inch the latch will stop lining up. Forcing it closed bends the hinge hardware.
  • White powdery crust on the panel faces. That’s efflorescence, mineral salts wicking up through the concrete from the footing. It’s not structural by itself, but it tells us water is moving through the fence where it should be draining away, and the spalling will follow.

Replacement Cost & What’s Included

A remodeled laundry and mudroom with a bench, cubbies and painted cabinets

For a Tremron fence installation in Fresno, a typical backyard run replaces between 40 and 80 linear feet. Here’s what drives the price inside that $3,500 – $9,000 range.

  • Tremron panels and posts (new, matching your existing profile): $22 – $38 per linear foot for the components, depending on panel height and whether your line needs the larger corner posts. Discontinued profiles cost more if we have to source cast-offs or cut down taller panels to match.
  • Footing excavation and concrete: $18 – $30 per post hole when we have to dig out an old footing, plus rebar and concrete for the new pour. Fresno hardpan runs deep in some yards, and a shallow posthole in this soil is the reason half the older fences in town lean.
  • Labor, including tear-out, haul-away, and panel set: $55 – $75 per hour per crew member, typically two people for a straight-run replacement, one day for most jobs under 60 feet.
  • Bond beam pour and rebar pins: Included in labor; this is not an add-on. A Tremron fence without a continuous bond beam will not survive its first season of Valley wind.

Every project gets a written price before any work starts, with the parts listed by name and the labor broken out by line item. If the price changes while we’re on site, you’ll approve the change in writing before we touch it. The installation work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something we set is not done right after the job is complete, we make it right.

DIY or Call Us?

You can safely check a few things yourself before you call: walk the line with a level, mark every post that’s off-plumb, measure the widest panel-to-post gap, and write down the panel height and post width so we can identify your Tremron profile over the phone. A photo of the panel face and post pocket sent to us goes a long way.

What we don’t recommend is pulling a leaning post or panel yourself. A single Tremron panel can weigh over 100 pounds, and a leaning post that comes free can take the neighboring panels with it in a chain reaction. The rebar pins inside these posts are under tension once the fence has shifted, and cutting or prying a loaded pin is how people get hurt in their own yards. If the fence has moved more than a couple of inches, leave it for a crew that does this work with the right lifting equipment and knows how to support the line while the footing is re-poured.

Call (559) 540-8453. We’ll come out, measure, and give you a written price for the Tremron fence installation before any work starts.
