Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Fresno Owner’s Guide
If your Tremron pavers have shifted, cracked, or sunk in your Fresno driveway or patio, you’re likely looking at a paver replacement or re-leveling job that typically runs $3,500 to $18,000 installed, depending on square footage and base condition. We stock Tremron-compatible pavers and can usually match your existing color and size within a week. Most Fresno homeowners discover the problem the same way: a low spot forms after winter rain, a paver cracks under a delivery truck, or tree roots push a section up so the door catches on it.
Before you start pulling pavers out one by one, let’s walk through what actually fails, what it costs to fix right, and whether you should touch it yourself. I’m Graham Stein, and I’ve been working on Fresno driveways and hardscape long enough to know that the paver itself is rarely the whole story. The base underneath usually tells the truth.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures a wide lineup of concrete pavers, retaining wall blocks, and hardscape products sold through dealers across California and the Southeast. The pavers you’re most likely to have in a Fresno driveway or patio are from their Estate Stone, Mega Olde Town, Holland Stone, or Rivercrest lines. Each has different dimensions: Holland Stone typically runs 60mm thick for driveways, while some Estate Stone pavers are 80mm for heavier vehicle traffic.
Here’s the compatibility gotcha most owners don’t know: Tremron changes paver molds periodically, so a Holland Stone paver bought in 2012 may not match a Holland Stone paver bought in 2025, even if the color name is identical. We match by measuring the actual paver you have in hand, not by trusting the color name on an old invoice. If an exact match isn’t available, we’ll tell you before any work begins and walk you through the closest options.
One thing worth understanding: we are an independent contractor serving Fresno, not a Tremron dealer or affiliated with Tremron. That means we can pull from multiple suppliers to find your match, same as we do with named brands like KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone on the interior side.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Are Failing
- Low spots that hold water after rain. This almost always means the sand bedding or gravel base has washed out underneath. Fresno’s clay-heavy soil expands and contracts with moisture, and a paver that looked flat in August can settle half an inch by February. The fix is pulling the section, re-compacting the base, and re-setting the pavers.
- Cracked or broken pavers in a vehicle path. A 60mm paver handles cars fine, but repeated turns from a heavy truck or SUV can crack one if the base was never compacted properly. We see this most often in Fresno neighborhoods where driveways were originally installed as overlays on older concrete.
- Edge pavers shifting outward. Without a proper edge restraint, the outside row of pavers drifts over time. The driveway starts looking wider at the bottom than at the top. This needs a new paver restraint installed, not just shoving the stones back into place.
- Weeds or ants pushing up through the joints. Joint sand has failed or was never polymeric. Fresno’s summer heat bakes regular sand loose, and once weeds get a foothold, the joints widen. We re-sand with a polymeric product that sets up firm and resists both weeds and ants.
- A sunken area near a tree or planter. Tree roots don’t just lift pavers; they can also cause soil to compact unevenly as roots grow and die back. This often requires root pruning and base rebuilding, not just paver replacement.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full paver driveway replacement in Fresno, expect $7,000 to $18,000 depending on square footage, base depth, and whether we’re removing old concrete underneath. A paver patio replacement runs $3,500 to $11,000. Smaller repairs, like re-leveling a 100-square-foot sunken section, usually fall between $800 and $2,500.
Every quote includes the same line items, written down before any work starts: removal and disposal of the failed section, base material and compaction, new Tremron-compatible pavers, edge restraints, polymeric joint sand, and final compaction. No estimate that grows after the crew arrives. If we find base damage we couldn’t see from the surface, we’ll show you, explain the added cost, and get your approval before touching it. And this work falls under our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if a section settles or shifts within a year, we come back and make it right.
You’ll also get the Cedarwell Care Promise on the job. Drop cloths where we stage materials, shoe covers if we need to walk through the house, and a photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves. Fresno dust gets everywhere if you’re not careful, and we’re careful.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely do the diagnosis yourself. Walk the driveway after a rain and mark the low spots with chalk. Check the edges to see if pavers have drifted. Look at the joints to see if sand is still in place. None of that requires tools or puts you at risk.
Where DIY goes wrong is the base. Pulling up pavers and re-setting them on an uncompacted or washed-out base gives you a flat driveway for about one Fresno winter. Then it settles again and you’ve spent weekends doing work that has to be redone. Concrete pavers are heavy, and re-compacting a proper base takes a plate compactor, not a hand tamper. If the issue is a single cracked paver and you have the matching replacement, that’s a reasonable afternoon project. If the issue is a low spot bigger than a yardstick, call us at (559) 540-8453 and let us look at what’s underneath.
Write it down before anything comes off the truck. That’s how we work, and it’s how we’d tell you to approach a paver job too. Get the base spec, the paver size, the joint sand type, and the edge restraint all in writing before the first stone gets lifted.
FAQs

Tremron concrete pavers typically last 25 to 40 years in the Fresno climate, but the base underneath them often needs attention at the 15 to 20 year mark. UV exposure fades color gradually, and our dry summers followed by wet winters stress the sand base. The pavers themselves rarely fail first; the setting bed does.
Yes, in most cases we can lift the affected section, re-compact or rebuild the base, and re-set the same pavers. This costs significantly less than a full replacement and works as long as the pavers themselves aren’t cracked. Call (559) 540-8453 and we’ll tell you which situation you have after looking at the grade.
A single sunken section repair usually takes one to two days. A full driveway replacement runs three to five days depending on size and whether old concrete has to come out first. We’ll give you a written timeline before the job starts and update it if anything changes.
We source Tremron-compatible pavers through our supplier network and typically have your match on site within a week. If your paver is from a discontinued mold run, we’ll let you know before any work begins and show you the closest available options so you can decide with all the pricing in hand.
