Which ViewLux Models This Applies To
ViewLux cabinetry comes in several series lines, and the hardware is not universal across all of them. The most common distinction we see in Fresno homes is between the full-overlay and inset door lines. Full-overlay doors use a 110-degree or 165-degree concealed hinge with a specific mounting plate depth, while inset doors require a hinge with a tighter reveal and often a non-standard bore pattern. If you grab a hinge off a shelf without checking the bore distance and plate height, the door will sit proud of the cabinet face or bind at the corner.
To identify your ViewLux part, open one cabinet door and look at the hinge cup pressed into the back of the door. Most ViewLux hinges carry a small laser-etched code on the hinge arm. The code starts with a two-letter series marker, and that marker tells us whether it’s an early production hinge or a current one. Drawer slides are easier: measure the slide length fully extended, then check the side clearance between the drawer box and the cabinet interior. ViewLux has used both 35mm and 42mm soft-close slide profiles over the years, and they are not interchangeable.

DIY or Call Us?
Some things you can safely check yourself before calling. If a drawer sticks, pull it out and look for food debris or a stray utensil wedged in the track. If a door sags, see if the hinge screws have backed out and tighten them gently with a hand screwdriver. That’s about the limit of what we’d suggest. Hinge replacement and slide removal require getting bore patterns and plate heights exactly right, and a stripped screw hole in a cabinet door is easy to make worse with a power drill. These doors and drawer fronts carry weight, and a misaligned hinge can crack a panel or pinch a finger.
